The Innocence Project represents clients seeking post-conviction DNA testing to prove their innocence. To date, 375 people in the United States have been exonerated by DNA testing, including 21 who served time on death row. Through the Innocence Project’s groundbreaking use of DNA technology to free innocent people, the Innocence Project has provided irrefutable proof that wrongful convictions are not isolated or rare events but instead arise from systemic defects. Please join us to hear former Innocence Project client Huwe Burton share his personal story of wrongful conviction through the use of flawed interrogation techniques which produced a false confession.
